Atlas Energy Solutions and Kodiak Robotics announced plans to expand their autonomous trucking operation in the Permian Basin from 28 driverless trucks to 100 by mid-2027. The expansion includes a second autonomous operations depot supporting Atlas’ Dune Express sand logistics network.
To date, the fleet has logged more than 23,500 driverless operating hours, hauled over 450,000 tons of frac sand, and completed approximately 7,000 loads. The companies are preparing for autonomous operations on public highways beginning in 2027.

Projects that fail to meet state, PUC, or ERCOT requirements will be denied grid interconnection. Approximately 474 GW of proposed load is under review, with roughly 90% associated with data centers.
